At Sacramento High, success extends beyond wins and losses. Our student-athletes are expected to pursue excellence in the classroom with the same commitment they bring to competition. Through athletics, students learn to take responsibility for their development while building the habits necessary to succeed in college, careers, relationships, and their communities.
Our vision is to build a program that sets the standard for excellence through a college-preparatory athletic culture rooted in discipline, academics, accountability, and personal growth.
Our mission is to develop student-athletes who are not only successful in competition, but fully prepared for higher education and life beyond the game. We are committed to creating a college-driven environment that empowers every student-athlete to maximize their potential, represent Sacramento High with pride, and leave a legacy of excellence in the classroom, in competition, and in our community. Athletics is an extension of the educational experience at Sacramento High. Through the partnership of coaches, teachers, administrators, families, and our community, we guide student-athletes along a path that aligns their athletic goals with their academic and personal development.
Together, we will build an athletic department grounded in Integrity, Leadership, and Resilience.
Together, these values define how we compete, how we lead, how we grow, and how we earn the trust of those we serve.
Our ultimate responsibility is to prepare Sacramento High student-athletes to go to and through college and to succeed long after their playing careers have ended.
We want every student-athlete who wears Sacramento High across their chest to understand that they represent something larger than themselves.
Our goal is to build programs that compete for championships while developing young people of character. We want our student-athletes to leave Sacramento High stronger academically, athletically, mentally, and personally than when they entered.
