TRACK & FIELD - SAC JOAQUIN SECTION D2 TRIALS

     Now that the first day at the Sac Joaquin Section D2 Trials is over the results are as follows.

     Will Davis, Tori Mason, the Girls 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams still have the opportunity to land a podium spot at the 2010 CIF State Track and Field championships.

     Will took a major step by finishing 5th place in the High Jump (6'2") and is now qualified to compete at the CIF Masters Meet trials to be held on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Sacramento City College (Hughes Stadium).

     Tori earned a trip to compete in the Sac Joaquin Section D2 finals this Friday in two individual events by taking 2nd place in the 300m Hurdles (46.31Q) and 4th place in the 100m Hurdles (16.30Q).  Ashjanee Woods will compete in both the Shot Put and Long Jump individual events, and Ashlee Owens is set to compete in the High Jump at the finals this Friday.

     Finally, the girl relay teams took 8th place in the 4x100m (50.63Q), and 9th place in 4x400m (4:06.90Q) at the trials both earning a trip to compete in the Sac Joaquin Section D2 finals this Friday.

     If all goes well, the top eight qualifiers in each event from this Friday will advance to the CIF Masters Trials to be held on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Sacramento City College (Hughes Stadium).  Of course, we will keep yo posted.
