On Tuesday, April 20, Joshua West, his mom and dad and athletic director Justin Gatling, attended the awards breakfast at the Elkhorn Country Club in Stockton. JOSHUA WEST (SACRAMENTO) – Joshua competed for the Sacramento cross country and track and field teams the last three years. This season, he competed for the wrestling team as
well. Joshua is involved with Sacramento Chalk It Up, a volunteer organization dedicated to funding children’s art education. He also volunteers with Second Saturday, a group that gathers once a month (on the second Saturday, no less) to clean up his neighborhood and the surrounding communities. He also volunteers with the SMUD light bulb exchange. Joshua has won the President’s Educational Award and the Dragon Achievement Award. He also won the Excellence Award and Best of Show in the Sacramento High Art Show. Joshua carries a 3.7 GPA. He’s been accepted to UC Riverside, Drexel University and Cal Poly, but has yet to decide on his college. He has future career plans to become a general practitioner. ![]() |
